How we use a limited 5000.8

When you engage Vintners Desk, you sign one limited 5000.8 that lists only what you hire us for, such as preparing and submitting your applications, label and formula filings, reports and returns, and receiving TTB’s notices about them. We prepare everything, you approve it, and then we submit it. You can see every filing in your private client folder.

What it doesn’t cover

Our authorization stops at preparing and submitting filings. We don’t appear at conferences or hearings, negotiate penalties or settlements, or give legal or tax advice. Those matters are for attorneys, CPAs and enrolled practitioners under 31 CFR part 8.

What we never ask for

  • Your Pay.gov, Permits Online or COLAs Online password
  • Bank details or tax payments
  • Authority beyond the filings you engage us for
How Vintners Desk handles this. The 5000.8 is included with every engagement at no extra charge. See the service and price or get started.

Questions

Do I have to sign a power of attorney to work with you?

It’s our default, because it lets us submit filings for you after you approve them. If you’d rather submit yourself, we prepare the filing and you file it from your own account.

Can I cancel it?

Yes. You can revoke a 5000.8 at any time by written notice to TTB, and we’ll stop filing for you.

Will you speak for me at a TTB hearing?

No. We prepare and submit filings only. For conferences, hearings or penalty matters, you would use an attorney, CPA or enrolled practitioner.

Start with a short request.

Three short steps, about two minutes. We reply by email within 1 business day with a fixed price and a checklist of what we’d need. There’s no obligation and no sales call.

Nothing is filed and nothing is charged until you approve a written quote. Private filing service; not a government agency.
